Long-running tasks — like deep Solve research or complex Build generation — continue in the background after you submit them. You do not need to stay on the page. Rocket can notify you when the result is ready.

Enable notifications

A notification banner appears at the top of the chat when a task is running in the background.

Click Notify me to enable browser notifications. Your browser will ask for permission the first time. Once granted, Rocket sends a notification when the task finishes, even if you have navigated away or closed the Rocket tab.
Notifications require browser permission. If you dismiss the permission prompt, you can re-enable it from your browser’s site settings for rocket.new.

What triggers a notification

Rocket sends a notification when:
  • A Solve research task finishes and the final report is ready
  • A Build task completes generation or a major step
You can return to Rocket at any time, with or without enabling notifications. Your task and all outputs are saved automatically.
