A workspace is the top-level container for all your Rocket projects, team members, integrations, and billing. Every Rocket account starts with a personal workspace, and you can create or join additional team workspaces to collaborate with others.

When to use workspaces

ScenarioWhat to do
Building solo projects or experimentingUse your personal workspace (already set up).
Collaborating with a team or clientCreate a team workspace and invite members with role-based access.
Keeping client work separate from personal buildsCreate a separate workspace per client so projects, billing, and tokens (the credits that power every action in Rocket) stay isolated.
Managing token usage across a teamSet per-member token limits in a team workspace to control spending.
Running multiple projects under one subscriptionGroup them in a single workspace to share one plan and token pool.

Workspace types

Rocket supports two types of workspaces:

Personal workspace

Tied to your individual account. Only you are a member by default. Ideal for solo projects, experimentation, and personal builds. Your personal workspace uses your account name (e.g., Rahil.shah).

Team workspace

Shared with multiple collaborators. Supports role-based access control, shared token pools, and workspace-level integrations. Team workspaces display a member count and are great for organizations and collaborative projects.
Each workspace has its own subscription plan, token balance, and set of projects. Switching workspaces changes which projects and settings you see.

The workspace menu is located in the top-left corner of the Rocket dashboard. Click the workspace name (with the dropdown arrow) to open it. The workspace dropdown displays:
